I'm a bit of a glove fanatic. Every time we go shopping or antiquing, I come home with a new pair...vintage cream tea gloves that are a bit too small, furry pink mittens with gold flecks, striped, solid, long, short...I love, love, love them.
This winter it was fingerless gloves. I was going through what I like to call my Homeless Material Girl phase. A friend of mine who worked for Atticus hooked me up with a pair along with a matching beanie. I was through the roof with enthusiasm...until I realized my fingers were frozen. Too cold to remove them from my pockets. Too cold to hold a coffee. Far too cold to bother biting my nails. These gloves lasted a week on my hands before I moved to my next glove obsession: the perfect pair of opera (upper arm) length black leather. Sadly I never got around to illustrating those because I couldn't hold a pen.

You should get one of those pairs of fingerless gloves that have the little mitten attachment that you like button to the top of your hand when you need to use your fingers. My friends all loved those. They're cute.
i have so much i'm not sure what for you but it's a good, more power to you feeling that you could move from florida to new york like that. i live in oklahoma (banjo notes here) and the cold is outrageous, but not even as bad as new york or minesotta. i can't imagine what cold ALL THE TIME would be like, the weather here changes drastically seemingly by the hour. also, i posted a new blog and you should read it miss! hope all is wellllll!
I have such small hands that I can't wear most gloves designed for women so I always end up getting the gloves from the little boys section in wal-mart, but it's cool because that's where I got my sweet ass sweet star wars and also mario gloves. It's a win win.

Oh how I'm semi-jealous of you people with small hands. I have beastly man phalanx which make my hands incapable of wearing all the pretty gloves I come across.
I've been reduced down to wearing leg warmers as gloves,but they look mighty damn good!
